Mechanical testing
ACCREDITED TESTING LABORATORY ACCORDING TO EN ISO/IEC 17025:2005 STANDARD.
We carry out tensile, compression, bending impact, hardness, cyclic loading tests, etc. These tests are mainly on metallic materials and plastics. In the field of research and development, we produce and test small-scale samples that can be produced from a limited amount of material.
Accredited tests:
- tensile tests
- bending tests
- Vickers hardness test
- Rockwell HRC hardness test
- Brinell hardness test
- impact test in bending
HARDNESS MEASUREMENT
Measurement of classical and instrumented hardness with stationary hardness testers (HV, HB, HRC). Measurement of hardness using portable hardness testers in operation at a plant.
RESISTANCE TESTS
Carrying out resistance tests against brittle fracture under static and dynamic loading.
MECHANICAL PROPERTIES TESTING
Testing the basic mechanical properties of metals, plastics, ceramic materials, wires, cables, textile samples, etc. in the temperature range from -80 °C to 1200 °C according to current standards. Tests can be carried out on round bars with cylindrical or threaded heads and on flat bars up to a machine force capacity of 250 kN. Measurement of mechanical properties of components and evaluation of residual life using non-standard miniature specimens.
FATIGUE TESTING
Carrying out high-cycle fatigue tests from room temperature to +900 °C. Determination of the Wöhler curve, and the fatigue limit. Carrying out low cycle fatigue tests at room temperature. Measurement of fatigue crack propagation rates (determination of the Paris-Erdogan relationship).
LABORATORY EQUIPMENT
Zwick Z250 electromechanical testing machine
Electromechanical testing machine with a force capacity of up to 250 kN, which allows tensile tests from -80 °C to 1200 °C, compression and bending tests, or simple cyclic loading at room temperature.
Zwick Roell HFP50 resonant pulsator
A high frequency pulsator with a maximum capacity of 50 kN, used for high cycle fatigue tests, from which the Wöhler curve is subsequently evaluated.
Charpy 150 J / 300 J / 450 J pendulum hammer
An instrumented Charpy hammer with a maximum capacity of 450 J designed to perform flexural impact tests over a temperature range of - 196 °C to 1200 °C.
Universal hardness tester
Brinell, Vickers and Rockwell hardness tests are performed on the universal hardness tester. The Mechanical Testing Department also has its own production workshop for preparing test bodies.
Other equipment:
Temperature chamber (-70 °C to 250 °C)
Furnace with heating up to 1200 °C
